Exil - "Fusionen" {Germany} (1975) progressive rock/jazz fusion

On Thomas Hayes's cd-reissue wishlist he tells; "Exil - Fusionen (Germany) 1975 FHZ. If you can imagine the 1975 era Embryo releasing "Embryo's Reise" from 1979, then I think you'd have a good idea of Exil's "Fusionen" release. Amongst the usual rock instrumentation there's lots of violin, electric piano and sax playing Eastern European and Asian influenced jazz rock. Aera's "Hand und Fuss" is another good reference as is an instrumental Emma Myldenberger circa "Tour de Trance". A very fine work." perhaps this is the only written information at net. This album enough good for not to be forgotten, any information welcome. A hidden treasure, gently whispers to our ears from 30 years ago!

Enjoy! :)

Xtc - [1978] - Explode Together (The Dub Experiments 78-80) [319k VBR]

Xtc - [1978] - Explode Together (The Dub Experiments 78-80) [319k VBR]

of Amazon:

Though yes, this certainly is not a "driving album" or a great party record, you wouldn't hang Warhol in your bathroom either. The sole purpose for this recording was to give Mr. Partridge a chance to flex his creative muscles, and to create from the clay of his and Colin's earlier work, brand new art. Like "The Greatest Living Englishman" collaboration and the new Home Demos album, this is not about the music, but rather this is about what the music's about. Its detractors are, I feel, missing the point. Spend a day as Brian Wilson, or eat lunch with Jim Starlin, or transcribe the dialogue in "Waiting for the Electrician", then listen to this again. If you follow all that, you'll absolutely love this album. If you don't, Buy "Big Express" and put "Smalltown" on repeat for an hour or so. When you figure out what the kazoo sound really is, come back to this one.

Agape - "Le Troisième Seul" {Canada} (1972) prog/psych

Hello friends! let we go to Canada this time. There waits us some obscure, quebecious prog folk album. A hidden treasure, quicky became one of my fav. some copy/paste:

Seamingly spiritually inspired, highly original and clear music. On first track some bizarre church organ, somewhat like a less heavy Jacula, with flute, drums, bass, some electronic, some collage. Further lots of Quebec folk prog. Third track is like first tracks of the first album of Sisa (with typing machine,..).read more here line-up: Gilles Bergeron (guitar), Jean Bourassa (effects), Yves Chevalier (keyboards), Claude Duchesneau (trumpet), André Dumont (vocals), René Depere (keyboards), François Kirouac (guitar, bass, glockenspiel), Marc Lebel (guitar), Michel Martel (percussion), Jacques Mercure (bass), Carole Paquin (bass)

thanks to my friends wjdr and zen :)

Pererin - "Tirion Dir" {UK} (1985) folk/celtic rock

Let we go with similar mood, aprox. 1.5 years ago i sent the first album from them..they are one of my fav. here is a copy/paste from this album "Pererin is one of the noticible band from the past. a lady with a great voice sings the songs with traditional instruments at the background that implemented to rock form. nowadays most of the albums stands for 1 good song and crap others. well when you get the album you will notice every song is unique and delicous..in a review it says it was released in 1980, and is sung in the Welsh language by both male and female singers, featuring many Celtic influences and adding some great electric lead guitar, as well as flute and violin work. An unsung classic in the folk-rock genre..Keep Listening!" related post: Pererin - Haul Ar Yr Eira

Pirates Against Prog?

SOME COMMENTS ON ILLEGAL DOWNLOADING FROM THE PROG AGAINST PIRACY GROUP
To avoid spending endless hours debating illegal downloading we decided to write this.

First of all everyone must accept as fact that illegal downloading, bloggers that upload entire albums for people to download for free and torrents doing what they refer to as "sharing music" is really a disaster for the artists financially.

There is a direct link between the increased illegal "free" downloading and the decreasing amount of music being sold. That is read more here

DEAR FRIENDS PLEASE DONT POST ANY COMMENT HERE, GO THERE EXPLAIN YOUR POINT OF VIEW TO THEM, IF YOUR COMMENT NOT PUBLISHED, THEN YOU HAVE YOUR VOICE HERE

(this post will be removed sometime later)

The Real Pirates!

Record Heaven, Laser's Edge and Syn Phonic all stock pirate CDs on bootleg labels such as Germanofon, Hugo Montes, Synton, Sunrise and Lizard. In all these cases the artists get nothing so these shops they recommend are ripping off both customers and artists by stocking them.

...And when your hand is on your heart,
You're nearly a good laugh,
Almost a joker!...

Lítid Eitt - "Til Hvers ?" {Iceland/Denmark} (1975) trad/celtic folk rock

somewhere it says: "Litid Eitt - til hvers ? Parlophone Beautiful and delicate folk group with male and female vocales. Really a gentle and lovely lp! with insert, seen this for huge amounts on euro lists!!" One of my fav.

Titus Luxor - Cherry Tree (1989) Exclusive for Pnf!

I know Titus Luxor from his comments to this blog and many blogs, He is one of the type of person that makes blogger friends happy, because he owns this places with being part of it. He is a mechanical engineer with a big passion to music, and he also recorded some good music from 80s to todays. First we should think about, why we produce music? In most cases the answer might be, to pass feelings to one another. Sometimes its hard to pass, because words over sometimes. things over..Sometimes you cant express and when you see a picture you feel something like: Thats it! You listen something, and it speaks for you: Thats it! and sometimes you cant find even one song to express, and you make your own. Whatever it is there will always be a collective value for music, and it always need to be shared by listeners. In that case there is no protection other than listeners. When we turned back to this album, Its made in late 80s, So we shouldnt be suprise for 80s background at album. 80s was a lab, for the artists who wanted to produce their own sounding, and with the rise of technology they were successful. On those days, artists who has the instruments (sound samplers to synth generators, orgs to drumming machines) created really cool things. But the prices of this technology was really high for the most of the musicians. If we forget about 80s, this is because we got way better technology right now.

While a 4 channel 8bit sampler/mixer was some thousand of dollars, today we got 128channel 24bit soundcards as low as 100dollar. This is a great existence for musicians and music lovers. Of course who can put a little bit of his/her spirit and view from his/her world will have the success. In that matter we have an original album here. that gives hints about all this facts! This is a nice enjoyful album, especially friends addicted to 80s will enjoy this album more! Thanks a lot to my friend to give me a chance to introduce this album to you :)

from himself;
Hello, my name is Titus Luxor. If you have made it this far - welcome to my world!OK it's low-fi, it was recorded in 1989 in my spare bedroom (a tiny box)I never had very good equipment nor the talent to play/produce these songs as I would have liked.Just a burning desire to make music.I made several albums up to 1990 (there's one more after this) then I joined a friend's band for a few yearsto get the 'playing live' thing out of my system.Since then I have been pretty dormant.Last year however I bought a brand new 16 track digital studio.Ain't done much yet, but I'm planning a comeback album.Amazing to think it is now 17 years since my last effort!T.L. THIS IS PROGNOTFROG!

Today is one of the happiest day for me, and i want to say: We Love you so much Shawn Gordon! We really love you so much because you are honest, because you are brave, because you are as yourself in the comments!

Do you know whom you upset more? You upset your eldergiant music industry bosses! You are a clean person; while many of this bosses tries to garant some piece of income to your itunes clone, you break the hearts of these persons with telling your honest views in comments!

Do you know the fact? Your eldergiant bosses can not be brave as much as you do! Instead they take some lawyer companies to face with difficulties(!) and they cant do this very often, because they need us! Let me try to tell you with a different view;

Perhaps today, the most successfull social music place is "Last.fm" This is the success of engineers who used slide rulers to mathlab, statics that you can never imagine to many kinds of different experiments. Its a paradox that is something like casino. They give you free coins to play with, at the end of the day you put some from your income to that pool! Those guyz genius! because if you take a person and you try to create a statics..he will get rid of
it at the end of the day. They found a way, they found a database tech, that you dont really need to do something special. Meanwhile you can buy albums if you like and if you even like there are tons of rapid links in the forums waiting you for free!! This is why i am calling it a paradox! they have always a leak! because they need to create a "need" to make this albums to sell! Because human is a social being! He/She needs to share with his/her feelings. He needs to share his ideas. She needs to discuss for the things. At that time we need something magical, that is more than words and as old as human being: music! and you need a common music (band, artist) to pass your feelings to one another. For example for psych/prog lovers Pink Floyd is a kind of silent agreement. Let we turn to Last.fm now. Do you see 2 advertisements at the very bottom side of the page? These ads are inlay ads. Not ads of Google. Look them carefully because 4-5 years later they will be the stars! 5million ppl see it at the same time, at the other side we are screaming from our blogs to tentothousands! Please dont take music industry that only consists of Cds. You got hats to t-shirts..you got tickets to concerts..you got cuppas to vclips.. In this paradox they also found different ways not to face with the pressure of alternative voices by inviting people to a knowledge challange with small widgets like http://mainstream.vincentahrend.com/ (mainstream o meter) http://www.musickum.com/omi/index.php (last fm open mind index) you got what i mean? (by the way we as prognotfrog also at last.fm there is no offend to the users of last.fm and those widgets, but thats the truth we believe, this place also has some social benefits to the ppl like many web 2.0 places) We can tell you many more places like last.fm, it was just an example!

Today Mr Shawn Gordon (aka progrockrecords.com) upset these bosses! He is young successfull businesman, he will learn how the machine works.. probably it will take sometime. In his comments from his honesty we learned a lot of things! If we scream for years to the friends about the facts of how mainstream music industry goes on, we can not have the success that today Mr Shawn Gordon garanted to us. First please take a look at where you have been. No No..Just take a look at the name at adressbar! then please take a look at the motto. You feel something? This is an ideological blog! This is an ideological blog but you cant see anywords that shows a way to people to one direction. If everything was ok, why people visits those places?

You are a 250gig harddisk rapidshare clone Mr Agent Gordon!

Your motivation is being a Cop of the artists that you distrubute, you think by preventing a rapid link, you guarantee 25% income over artists. Thats your business model Mr Young Agent Gordon!

You have a good faith to believe oneday hungry people for music, coincidally write to adress bar something like http://www.mindawn.com/ or http://www.progrockrecords.com/ the possibility of a death at an accident while crossing the road is 1/5million. If people live 5million years, people mostly may dead because of an accident. got me Mr Businessman Gordon?

You came to the forum at 15 december. I cant say its a legal forum, but i cant say its illegal too. Because Every new comer uploads albums like Led-Zep, PF, KC! Infact if you write to google something like "Pink Floyd Rapidshare" in first page you will see at least 5-6 results!! Thats not our problem, This guy (new comer) sends a signal like: "I am like you!" His eyes lights up! eventough he knows it can be found, he wanted to be sure that he is in the right place! Do you want us to ban them? No! We are for coming together! After You came to the forum, you behave all the people like pirates! You didnt see %95 of the bands, that even you have the money you can not able to buy them!! Your motivation is being a cop! that makes you happy to provoke people with treating them as pirates. If you were the music lover, if you were the true lover of prog; instead of working to delete the links, you might try to taste them!!

You have an idea of the Artists & Bands that you deleted from here Mr Agent Gordon? Shut the fu*k up! Our links havent deleted before. It was you! and only you! who find rights to delete the works of artists! We didnt send any of your artists; because we even dont know them to send! and you prevent a piece of love to your own artists!

In here "Good" Artists & Bands met with "Good" Listeners in comments! We never bring artist's comments to front! Because it was our philosophy that you can not understand! But this time you provoke us! here are some of the recent ones: (1,2,3,4,5,6,7......)

Finally i want to tell our community have been hurt!

We request a written excuse from Shawn Gordon (progrockrecords.com) to send contact@prognotfrog.com for showing a community, its lovers, friends, artists to a strange position with his attacks..

Meanwhile we ask friends to put this tiny sticker to blogs, social places like myspace, facebook, and the places that they wish to warn people about the happenings...digg it..delicious.it.prog.it.....

http://forum.prognotfrog.com/

We will distrubute the sticker till we get an excuse from the person himself.

We really would like to know if your artists also has the same opinion, after reading your comments on previous post. We wish you goodluck with your business!

We will always believe "being" instead of "having"

"Exchange of goods for goods. that might be money for a CD, it might be a chicken for a blowjob."

Shawn Gordon

Unfortunately we are facing with a person that we cant find words to describe. For 2 weeks we have been attacking by a record owner who even dont hesistate to see his own artists as meta of his economy. In one month lots of the prog/psych communities shutdown with the pressure of this person.
During 2 years we sent approximetely 1000 albums and we get "0" negative feedback. Instead it becomes a place of listeners & artists that met in many comments. We believe like many other blogs, this place garanted a piece of love to undiscovered/uncommon music, from all over the world. If there exists any unhappy authorized owner of the albums that we sent, they can always send a message for the abuse.

We believe artists should free from economic things, but none of us want this to happen with cold rules.

WE ARE OFF TO THE LABELS & ARTISTS WHO HAS POTENTİAL TO PUT THEİR LISTENERS IN AN ILLEGAL POSITION.
